Mr. Stowell Goes to Washington

Finally, after many, many months of planning, packing, and way too many miles in rented cars and moving trucks, I’m officially a resident of the Capitol Region! I often wonder what those who know me the best say about my decision to relocate to Washington. I’m sure some think I’m slightly nuts – selling my house, getting rid of half my stuff, and moving 600 miles from home.

To the naysayers, I can only say, why not? While Vermont is a wonderful place to live, it doesn’t have the endless opportunities that Washington does. I discovered while reading the paper this morning that more people ride the Metro each day to work then live in the State of Vermont. I find that kind of funny.

In any case, Vermont is my home but Washington is where I live (at least until the next opportunity presents itself)!

I can’t thank my family and friends enough for all their help as I open this new chapter in my life. I can’t wait to see what the next year brings!
